AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, attending the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, stated that the world is undergoing profound and foundational economic and political transformations. He praised the BRICS bloc for its firm condemnation of recent Israeli and U.S. military attacks on Iranian nuclear and civilian infrastructure.
According to IRNA, in a post shared on the social media platform X, Araghchi described these attacks as clear violations of international law and norms, emphasizing that the nuclear sites were under I.A.E.A. safeguards.
He noted the growing global influence of BRICS, a coalition now expanded to include Iran, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates, alongside Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The group represents 40 percent of the global GDP and nearly half of the world’s population.
According to Araghchi, the summit in Rio illustrates a visible shift in global power dynamics. He expressed Iran’s satisfaction in participating in this emerging multipolar order and welcomed the beginning of a new international era.
